Austrian chalet in a mountainside forest offering cozy, romantic guestrooms furnished with country antiques, quilts, and comforters. Located in north central Vermont mid-way between Stowe and Sugarbush, 12 miles from Montpelier, 25 miles from Burlington and Lake Champlain, and close to Ben & Jerry's Homemade Ice Cream, Cabot Cheese Outlet, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Danforth Pewter, and Cold Hollow Cider Mill. The inn is open year around and the cabins are open May - Oct. The three cabins are designed for romantic getaways for couples. They are located in the woods about 200 yards from the road. Each features a queen size bed; bathroom with toilet, shower and sink; sitting area with two rocking chairs and wood stove with glass doors to see the flames; mini-refrigerators and microwave with set ups for coffee, tea, cocoa, popcorn (no kitchen); vaulted ceiling with paddle fan; small deck with chairs; 40 acres of walking trails through the surrounding forest. We welcome pets in the cabins. Inn rooms are $80 to $180 and the cabins are usually $140/night and $180/night during fall foliage from late Sept to mid October.
